Activating and Validating the MELSEC PLC Device in GraphWorX

After connecting to the Mitsubishi Electric FA MELSEC PLC, you will activate the device and validate its operational status in GraphWorX™.

To activate the MELSEC PLC Device:

  1. In the Workbench Project Explorer, expand Data Connectivity> Mitsubishi Electric FA.
  2. Right-click your MELSEC PLC and select Activate Device.

To validate the activated device:

  1. In the search box on the Windows taskbar (Windows 10 and 11), enter GraphWorX and select the app in the search results.
  2. Select the Dynamics tab, and then click Process Point.

  3. On the canvas, click and drag to add the process point label.

  4. Select Data >DataSource, and then click the ellipsis to display the Data Browser.
  5. From the Data Browser Data Points tab, expand Data Connectivity and do the following:
    1. Select >Mitsubishi Electric FA>[DEVICE_NAME] >[TAGGROUP_NAME] as the data source (tag).
    2. Click OK.

  6. In the upper right corner, select Desktop Runtime, examine the changing tag values in the display, and then click Configure.

    GraphWorX requests that you save the file after runtime. Enter your project name, and then click Save.
